Tom Beckett General Cool leader. There were not many units-a couple dozen, if that-painted STLH, for St Lawrence & Hudson, a CP subsidiary created after they took over the D&H to "wall off" the financially shaky eastern parts of the system. It included the D&H and most of CP east of Montreal. There were a batch of SD 40's, as we see here, as well as several GP 38-2's, ex D&H, exx LV units, and some GP9u's. These units spent most of their time on the D&H-the geeps were local power on the D&H-though the SD's would roam. Nice catch and scenic shot on an unusual and short lived paint scheme. 4/14/2018 2:55:21 AM
